Company History Pharmacist, Dr. Tom Mooney, has been servicing the healthcare needs of the Johnson City community for over 35 years. Early in his career, Tom worked for several large chain pharmacies where he developed many unique business practices regarding pharmacy operation. It was evident that Tom's focus was on the customer. Tom wanted to operate a “hometown drugstore“ focusing on personal service and customer care while providing tremendous values through discount prices. Unfortunately, the large chains shared a different philosophy. In 1985, Tom's ambitions came to life with the opening of Mooney's Discount Pharmacy. Customers soon realized that the best service and value could be found under one roof. After 20 years, Tom and his staff are still extremely devoted to upholding the same philosophy with every customer who walks through the door. Tom's friendly service and personal touch with customers have created relationships that will last a lifetime. |
